AutoDutyPRO - What's New in Build 4.32.2.1 (4.32.2)!

AutoDutyPRO - What's New in Build 4.32.2.0 (4.32.2)!

Due to permissions issues with some military Windows 10 installations, the default location for AutoDutyPRO data on new installations is back to current user's profile (as it was in version 4.31 and earlier). This change only applies when AutoDutyPRO is installed onto a computer for the first time (a fresh install vs. an update).

This update is recommended for all AutoDutyPRO customers, especially if you are currently running build 4.30.0.0 or earlier.

AutoDutyPRO - What's New in Build 4.32.1.0 (4.32.1)!

This release fixes a specific edge-case issue with exemptions and roster with shifts greater than 24 hours; e.g., week-long shifts.

Previous versions of AutoDutyPRO defaulted to storing its data in the current user's profile; i.e., C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\AutoDutyPRO; from this version on the default location for AutoDutyPRO data is now under the Public Documents folder (\Users\Public\Documents\AutoDutyPRO). This change only applies when AutoDutyPRO is installed onto a computer for the first time (a fresh install vs. an update), and has been made so the same set of data is available to all AutoDutyPRO users on the computer.

Previous versions of AutoDutyPRO created the default AutoDutyPRO_Backups folder on the current user's Desktop; from this version on the AutoDutyPRO_Backups folder is created on the Public Desktop (\Users\Public\Desktop\AutoDutyPRO_Backups). This change only applies when AutoDutyPRO is installed onto a computer for the first time (a fresh install vs. an update), and has been made so the AutoDutyPRO backups are easily available to all AutoDutyPRO users on the computer.

This update is recommended for all AutoDutyPRO customers, especially if you are currently running build 4.30.0.0 or earlier.

AutoDutyPRO - What's New in Build 4.32.0.0 (4.32)!

This release fixes issues related to Data Execution Prevention (DEP), which may occur on government/military computer systems.

With this update, administrators no longer need to add DEP exceptions to Windows and/or EMET for the AutoDutyPRO executable.

This update is HIGHLY recommended for all AutoDutyPRO customers.

  • Improved
    • Memorandum template feature operational under Windows Vista, 7, and 8
    • Header on DA Form 6 printout includes the ROLE in addition to the name of the roster
    • Initial backup folder location defaults to the profile's DESKTOP folder; i.e., C:\Users\profile name\Desktop\AutoDutyPRO_Backups
  • New
    • Both the AutoDutyPRO installer and the program itself are code-signed
    • Added "Check for updates" feature; may be turned off, if desired
    • License activation (registration/unlock) can now be accomplished at time of installation
    • License activation (registration/unlock) no longer requires administrator privileges, if not completed during installation
    • Rank can be hidden from reports; e.g., if your alpha roster contains civilians and you don't want to show an equivalent rank such as "CIV" next to their name
    • When two or more individuals have the highest sequence numbers, AutoDutyPRO can now select alphabetically, without regard to rank. If you have always pulled names from your manual DA6s sorted alphabetically, this feature is for you :)
